- What payment methods do you accept?
- I accept payment through checks, money orders, major credit cards (MC/VISA/Discover) and PayPal.
- Do you require a payment or retainer up front?
- Sometimes I do. For instance, if you have a very large project that will demand a substantial amount of time and investment on my part, I will usually require a retainer. There are some other times but they are rare.
- Can in I be billed monthly?
- Sure. I write many monthly and weekly blogs and articles for clients. Some prefer to be billed weekly or bi-weekly, some monthly and some even prefer to have me bill them after completing a set number of assignments. I'll invoice you however you feel will work best for your business.
- Do I have to pay for revisions?
- Sometimes, yes. Revisions are included in my quoted price but only within reason. If for instance, we are on our second revision and it becomes necessary to rewrite significant portions of the assignment due to a late collaborator's input or an unexpected increase in the scope of work, I'll have to assess additional charges. You will under no circumstances be assessed these additional charges without your express consent.
- Do you offer any discounted rates?
- Yes, I do. Clients partnering with me on ongoing projects earn a discounted rate. I also offer discounted rates to agencies who are interested in outsourcing their copywriting and also to non-profit organizations who need a helping hand.
- Is hiring a freelance writer (and not an agency) a better choice for me?
- Not always. HERE are some reasons I think you may benefit from freelance writing services but sometimes your business needs are better served by the resources of a large agency. Feel free to contact me and we can discuss your options. If you decide a freelancer writer might fit the bill, then hopefully we can work together. If not, I can recommend some great agencies for you.
- Can you help me find related professional services?
- Sure. I know some terrific people who are really good at their jobs. I can put you into contact with search engine optimization (SEO) services, print and web designers, social media services and can recommend a web service for almost any business need you may have.
- I may need you to submit your article to a content management system (CMS), are you familiar with different administration software?
- I have extensive experience with many common content management systems (e.g. Joomla and Wordpress), most web publishing services (e.g.Tumblr, Posterous) and even some specialized software Magento (ecommerce) and Moodle.
- I collaborate better when I'm using a particular project management suite, are you willing to use the software I'm most comfortable with?
- Of course. In fact, I'm already familiar with a lot of them. The project management web space is expanding rapidly but I love a reason to check out new ones or use new features from updated ones.
